That is a good woman...Ok I didn't watch because I am listening to something else but I can't help but wonder how did it get browned on top cooking on that rig pictured?

fast-forwarded it, w/o sound, seeing that towards the end that they covered the top of the pizza with a flat iron (assuming) disc and put hot embers on top of it.

Cool!
Pizza looks delish!

I would love a big slice. I'm on keto and NO pizza. So good...and thanks for the flat iron explanation

Re: Gourmet pizza in Azerbaijan
I was expecting gormet pizza from Azerbaijan to have wild boar meat on it or bear or moose meat or something like that.

The pizza the lady cooked looked like I could get the same thing at my local pizza shop down the street.

It did look delicious though especially with it being cooked over a fire.

When we had the big black out in 2004 or whenever it was there was one pizza place still open that was cooking pizza over a fire. Was actually really good!

Incredible - the only thing I would change, is finding a way to make it less soupy in the middle, but that's from the fresh tomatoes in the sauce, they need to be reduced a long time to remove the water. And the water in the fresh tomatoes, too. But YUM!

She put a lid over the pan and put coals on top of the pan, which created a Hot oven.

Cowboy Kent has some cast iron cookware with a lid that covers a pot, but I"ve never seen him try pizza like that.

Go to about 7:20 and he has two pots in front of him that are designed to have coals cover the top.

They put a lid over the pizza, and covered the lid with burning coals.

Yeah, the liquid was uninviting. I suppose it was from the tomatoes. I don't think I would ever use a tomato sauce AND tomatoes to top it. Redundant. What usually goes with a mushroom pizza (in Azerbaijan). BBQ Yak
