Quoting: The_Meridian Either it's a Rock from the sky Or an EQ You can't really predict an EQ, so incoming space debris. That's the clue, I think. Did we miss that or am I late to the party? You might be onto something here! Now pay Attention bc this will definitely ROCK your world lol. Quoting: Grossly No details. I will be back after. Now you know. Oddly, Attention also has a capital letter. So, we should pay attention because it is A ROCK. He said we should be keeping an eye on spaceweather.com too, in another thread. Well, look what is on the front page today ... POSSIBLE ANTARCTIC METEOR OUTBURST: The newly-discovered Arid meteor shower (described below) may have just produced an outburst over Antarctica. The University of Colorado Boulder operates a shortwave meteor radar at McMurdo Sound, and it detected a significant peak in meteor activity around 2300 UT on Oct. 6th. That matches the time Earth was expected to encounter a stream of debris from parent comet 15P/Finlay. Quoting: NeuromuteLast Edited by Neuromute on 10/07/2021 01:56 PM |

The nice thing about the Draconids is that their source in the constellation Draco is above the horizon all night long, so you can start viewing as soon as it gets dark (around 8 p.m. local time). The peak will be on the evening of Fri., Oct. 8 until dawn on Sat., Oct. 9. The meteors will come from near the head of Draco in the northern sky, but you should turn away from the north for the best view. Face whatever direction is the darkest and clearest for you. Meteors can appear in any part of the sky. The Draconids are known for their slow speed, so look for long, slow shooting stars coming from the north. Bunnygrunt |

That would limit the geographical area affected which the LA Palma tsunami would not meet such a small geographic area. [link to www.youtube.com (secure)] You guys can pay attention to these yourself at SpaceWeather.com - Op is monopolizing on very slight chances of doom. Scroll down to the middle of the page where it lists all NEOs. The ones highlighted in red are the closest. Click on one of them and a new window will appear. To the right there is a "miscellaneous details" box. The condition codes are 1-9, with 9 being the most uncertain orbit. There's also an orbital viewer that you can step through, and close approach data. It's interesting and there's all kinds of daily doom, if you want daily doom. Magnitudes are getting larger as well. Quoting: Dizzz That is a possibility. But my main guess would be a meteor. Both Biden and Boris mentioned the word meteor in describing the economy. That would indicate a meteor hitting the Atlantic (between Delaware and UK since those were the two leaders using that word), which may cause a tsunami. |
