How old is the EARTH?
Christians/Catholics believe it to be, what, around 6,000 years old?

Others say it was billions of years ago.

Quite the difference.

over 6.5 billion years old.

Humans as we know them(writing/note taking abilities) are about 6,000 years old.

Humans have been around for millions of years.

Days 1-6 could of been millennia, and the 7th day could of been 6,000 or so years ago. (conjecture)

Elements decay after a certain amount of time.. seeing how we still have a table of many still existing... the earth is likely fairly new... especially when considering the element, iron.

the reason it may "seem" like 6000 years is there was a major AXIS shift 12,000 or so years ago that cleansed the planet and formed the grand canyon and then 144,000 humans colonized the world from other places to re establish human life.

humans appeared in the evolution around 1 million years ago but there were humans from other worlds long before then colonizing here.. now lets all grow up.. OK.

Catholics don't believe in young earth theory.

That's creationists which are almost exclusively US evangelicals.

Catholics don't hate science, many are very educated.
In fact the Big Bang was theorized by a Catholic priest, Georges Lemaître.

That's nice but it doesn't need to bee all sci-fiy.

There were advanced civilization more than 12.000 years ago, but when the younger Dryas ended, entire landmasses became flooded, like Doggerland. We have traces of human settlements there (now underwater).

Where do you think an old advanced, commercial, seafaring civilization would put its cities? On coasts. Where are the places which are destroyed the first located when the sea rises like 12.000 years ago? Coasts again.

The survivors of that civization then established Gobekli Tepe and other settlements to teach the less advanced humans that were living inside the continents, teaching them astronomy, agriculture and stonework, hoping to rebuild their old civilization. We know this for a fact because the oldest remaining human monuments are the most technologically complex, while more recent ones are cruder and smaller. Thus we have proof that after 12.000 years ago, humans experienced a huge scientific leap and then that knowledge was watered down over the years, surviving only as hidden knowledge in myths.

Admitting the universe/earth is old doesn't deny the divine process behind it.

Why do you hate science so much? Observing and understanding the universe we live in can only lead to awe and respect. Saying the universe is billions of years old is not speaking against God. What kind of retarded belief is that?

Yes of course, as soon as we are talking about scientific evidences you back off, telling me to "do my own research". Reality is you spout new age crap that is interpreting ancient history under the prism of extra-terrestrial interference when it's absolutely not necessary.

Humans can be very clever and it is kind of sad that you think we couldn't arrive there without some aliens holding our hands.

your scriptures have zero basis also.. they are horrifically incomplete and mucked up on purpose.

Do you ones not realize every culture and country in this world has scriptures of some sort.. either written or orally?

Korea has WRITTEN SCRIPTURES that are the oldest on earth after the last axis shift. and the samples I was given of that by a translation team when I was in Korea 6 years ago.. show that the master who gave those 10,000 years ago provided better cosmology and God stuff than Christianity has even been given.. even your Jesus story is mucked up.. Jesus was real but you ones have no comprehension whatsoever of who he was.
