Ivermectin is ivermectin. Meaning, the ivermectin in horse paste is the same ivermectin in pill form meant for humans. It’s just in a different medium - paste v. pills.

If you go to your local seed & feed place to buy horse-wormer, there are only two things you need to be careful of NOT DOING.

1) Don’t take the topical stuff - the stuff that’s designed to be used externally (rubbed on an animal).

2) Make sure the paste you buy is 1.87% ivermectin. DO NOT get the stuff that says “GOLD” on the box or the stuff that has other ingredients in it (a word that begins with a “P” - I don’t remember it off the top of my head). The wrong stuff has less than 1.87% ivermectin in it.

You can take the 1% sterile (injectable) but you take that orally and it doesn’t take much so you’ll need a syringe (without a needle) to measure the dose.

A horse wormer tube has 6008 mg of total goo in it.
It’s 1.87% ivermectin. So, 6008 X 0.0187 = 112mg ivermectin in each tube.

There are 25 notches (teeth) on the plunger in the syringe. so each notch = 4.5 mg which is about the dose per 50 pounds of weight.

It’s hard to fuck this up because the weights are actually marked on the plunger.
There is a white plastic locking nut on the plunger. Turn it 90 degrees toward you to unlock it, slide it to your weight, turn it 90 degrees back into position to lock it and then the plunger will stop at the right amount.

Mix it with a half tablespoon of ice cream if you want.
