Our problem is CA and their draconian air quality requirements for trucks. Then there is the two month backlog over dmv testing after truck school that takes five weeks. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 76661742 Our problem is CA and their draconian air quality requirements for trucks. Then there is the two month backlog over dmv testing after truck school that takes five weeks. Many truckers are indicating that the trucks are NOT in short supply but instead the ca govt/la county had ordered the ports to only operate approx 35% of the cranes which unload the ships! BUSTED! |

He also said there were more truck drivers than ever. Then he said that there are not enough chassis to put the containers on to get them out of the port. That he thought the chassis were sitting in warehouses in the Midwest with loaded trailers that weren’t being unloaded. Then he said the porte were jammed up with containers that were full of goods that AI programs bought in error and no one wanted what was in the containers. He referred to Amazon as being the culprit. But then he said that they; I think he as referring to Amazon; bought land next to the port to store those containers until they could figure out what to do with them. Amazon does not operate that way…. Most of the products are processed from third party sellers… so not sure what he is talking about. As to why there were so many ships waiting to dock. He said they were setting records when it came to unloading…. But that there were just too many. He also said some of the ships were loaded with goods and stuck there since the Trump admin because Trump raised the tariffs. He came across as a disinfo agent. I have a friend who drives by that port at least 5 days a week. He said the port was jammed up with shipping containers because there was a shortage of chasis to put the containers on. Many days he drives by and there is only one ship docked and often it is not being worked - just docked. Have a nice day = GFY. GFY = Go Fuck Yourself. If this offends you then have a nice day. |
