there's 100 people in line working for the department ofhomeland security and military intel contractors, making $150k a year with full benefits and they wanna know where the workers are who have to pay 100% the money they make for rent with their 4 roommates

anything to causes irritation to the heart or vascular system produces extreme fatigue, the clot shot may not be killing them yet they may just be experiencing extreme lack of energy to work , but all the other people with office jobs making $150K a year don't notice it because they don't do any real work

teachers, nurses, government employees , government contractors will not feel the effects for sometime

The food industry is changing rapidly. Lots of converging technologies coming into play to solve some big problems.
Right now the biggest is obviously labor and supply. These will get corrected over time.

In the meantime...
Be humble and kind to those who are actually showing up to a job that pays a non-living wage and you smell like toxic food when you go home.

Or...

Cook and prep at home so when you are on the road, you have good food to eat and don't go for synthetics.

and...

Neighbor-up and share tasks, bulk food and meals.

What a way to miss the whole point.

Head into a grocery store and pick up a small rotisserie chicken. Have a picnic in the car. Cheaper than fast food.

I worked 6-day weeks for 40+ years and always brought a lunch from home. Much cheaper and better for you. You can eat a good home-packed lunch every day for a week for less than $10.

Those of you strung out on everyday fast food are just lazy (and killing yourselves).

That's my favorite thing to do when I'm pressed for time.

Some general advice: There are two reasons why you don't want to eat at places like this...

1. If the employees are overwhelmed they are likely ignoring food safety with little/no supervision. You don't want to know what goes on without supervision.

2. Out of principle, if a business can't be professional, stop supporting them. They can go out of business and their shareholders and execs can revisit the politics that won them their fail.

It's not your responsibility as a customer to understand or solve for why their $7 burgers and $12 "value" meals can't pay enough to attract workers. None.

just went to McDonalds for a bacon burger. the bacon and burger patty were cooked, totally dry, and absolutely COLD. the cheese wasn't even melted and was also cold. it's like they pulled a pre-cooked burger out of a refrigerator and said here you go!

That restaurant was recently renovated to look brand new. In the old one, I used to see burgers cooking on grills and could smell them. Now I can't see the kitchen at all and I don't smell or even hear burgers cooking!

Did McDonalds recently move to serving pre-cooked burgers now???

I imagine it has something to do with the fact that most fast food places that I have been too force their workers to mask up all the damn time.

And who the fuck would want to go to work in a mask for what 12 an hour?

The entire economy and society is breaking down. You are supporting other workers and an economy. Gas is over 4 $ a gallon. It's all coming unglued.

The Wendy’s by my house has been locking their doors and making everyone go through the drive-through because they’re short staffed.

Couldn't have said it better myself.

I usually get grass fed ground beef and divide it into 4 and mold my own burger patties. I leave one out to grill and but the other 3 in individual zip lock bags into the freezer. When I want a burger later in the week, I pull one out and put it in a bowl of water. Let it sit in the bag for 10 minutes and it's thawed. Then on to the grill.

Yeah..I guess it takes more time/work but nothing better than making your own burger with your own toppings done RIGHT.

The new Starbucks buildings have no seating. Only pick up and drive thru.

I feel bad for the worker, but I had to laugh at the stupid woman's scream.

Every fast food place in my area is short handed & have hiring signs out. Even the gas station I go to have the doors locked sometimes because they only have one employee there. They can't keep help.
