Either on purpose, or some mental problem meant he stopped caring. Note the perfect midwestern American accent, um not quite. [ link to vidmax.com (secure)] He probably has a delayed reaction to the Jab, like a blood clot. Most likely a Clot in the brain. Causing him not to be able to process commands from the tower( like to climb. turn, etc.), disorientation and finally resulting in passing out or death. Resulting in the fatal dive and crash.
