DO TAKE THE TIME TO READ THEM!!! As of November 15, 2021 customers will NO LONGER BE ABLE TO WIRE TRANSFER MORE THAN $1,000.00 TO A PERSON OR $5,000.00 TO A COMPANY ON A SINGLE DAY!!! MY BANK IS ONE OF THE LARGEST BANKS IN THE USA! ACH caps going into place! Quoting: Anonymous Coward 80134483 Realize what this means!!! Want to buy a car? Do you actually need a paper check? The new "old" way was ACH. Want to buy a car from somebody trying to sell you a car -how much you want to bet that the car costs more than $1,000.00? Or, new conversion rates where a $1,000 in November is equivalent to say $100,000. Just a thought. |

Its just 2 factor authentication. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 80142223 You can be making money if you use crypto, can't believe some fuckheads still use checks. Such an antiquated system. |

It the only way around this. You could be accused of committing a felony...they call it structured payments...it is against the law...or at least could be - I am not a lawyer, but IIRC you could run afoul of the law structuring payments...especially to another person. [link to klasing-associates.com (secure)] To chase someone for small transactions wouldn't be worth it. But the way the US law works is that they have to cover EVERYONE so the criminals don't have a loophole. It's a criminal game. Unfortunate that we have to deal with so many criminals. Criminals that we still don't know who they are that did 911 or Mercer Street, or thousands of other terrorism attacks. $3.50 |

You are correct, BUT when we are talking about millions of people who receive paychecks, etc. that are over $1,000.00 ... are they really going to need a pin to either send out or receive the money? How about a company with 100,000 employees...do they need to make a text message or send a pin for every transaction...or do the 100,000 employees need to receive a TXT or RSA pin every two weeks in order to get their money? |

User ID: 49528371 United States 10/13/2021 02:13 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | That's not really new. You can thank the Patriot Act for the limitations under the guise of anti-terrorism and anti-laundering. You've probably just not noticed it over the last 20 years. As someone who tries to do dealings in cash...its quite a pain. Not being able to withdraw more than 500 a day from ATM...not being able to transfer more than $1000 a day electronic funds, etc. Trying to buy cars, property, even put a deposit down on a home has become practically impossible. But it's nothing new. Also, not just Bank of America...its all banks. Capital one, suntrust, wells fargo that I've seen personally. Last Edited by TaaDaaa on 10/13/2021 02:14 PM |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 80789556 I routinely wire transfer hundreds of thousands of dollars no problem. hmmm Wonder if this is only for a certain account type? Nobody with any money would bank there if this is for all accounts. I absolutely HATE boa, haven't banked with them in over a decade. But this is nuts. BOA is racing Wells Fargo to the bottom of the septic tank. Billions for illegal aliens, peanuts for American citizens. |
