Change to TIAA bank. ACH is 50K a day allowed in or out.

2K a day withdrawal from debit card. Will reimburse all ATM fees if you have 5K in your account.

I just called them and there is no such limit now or anytime for the terms BOA has in place.
 Quoting: avidinternet

Yeah there's no way BOA has this kind of limit on wires...

I'm regularly wiring $5k-$20k+ in any given month and have never had issues. There's massive companies wiring that much per day (or more) and they're with BOA too...

I'm calling linky or stinky
 Quoting: SteamrolledGobias

Maybe it depends on the kind of account you have?

Idk, i used to have bank of america, and my guess is this is a ploy to charge another fee.

^ I have my corporate bank account with Bofa and a good amount of liquid sitting in it.

So am I "big enough" to get past the rules? Are some corporations allowed and others wont be?

I also never got this email, but I do believe OP, so idk what to make of this.

That is correct. Those limits change (at least according to the email I received and another poster received) on November 15, 2021. The other poster posted the new terms on page 1 of this thread and it has been posted many times within this thread. Some people are writing that you can use the secure transfer...but, what about when you receives, say, your paycheck or what about rent (assuming it is over $1,000.00), then do you need to use secure transfer? What a mess that will cause! As to the question of whether direct deposit is covered by this "edict" - from what I read YES direct deposit will be affected by this change. I posted a link (in this thread) that has what a financial company is saying - they are saying that direct deposit is an ACH and not an eCheck.

My favorite way to make an offer is to show up with the cash I'm willing to spend, below the asking price.

Something about that visual stimuli usually works well.

I regret having so much in my checking, now it's going to be a pita trying to move it without triggering the alphabetards.

I should just do it in a single bound and them chase their tails over it.

I just received a change in my Terms of Service (TOS) from my bank. DO TAKE THE TIME TO READ THEM!!! As of November 15, 2021 customers will NO LONGER BE ABLE TO WIRE TRANSFER MORE THAN $1,000.00 TO A PERSON OR $5,000.00 TO A COMPANY ON A SINGLE DAY!!! MY BANK IS ONE OF THE LARGEST BANKS IN THE USA! ACH caps going into place!

Realize what this means!!! Want to buy a car? Do you actually need a paper check? The new "old" way was ACH. Want to buy a car from somebody trying to sell you a car -how much you want to bet that the car costs more than $1,000.00?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 80134483

Welp...guess I'll have to hoard some cash. Do they want to trigger a bank run?
 Quoting: Depluribus Unum

Then what do you do with your cash?

I have heard of instances where businesses, or other banks, WILL NOT TAKE YOUR CASH. In fact, SunTrust Bank does that to me. It is not my bank, but my landlord on my business and I pay the rent through them. I cannot pay them in cash to deposit into his account. I HAVE TO use a check.

Must do transactions by check, which means you must deposit the money - LESS THAN $1,000 - to do the transaction.

I thought to do the transaction by money order, but I bet they'll shut that down, too, soon.

Soon to have everyone who "banks" by the short hairs.

This is why I have been saying for weeks now = THIS AIN'T ABOUT THE "RICH PAYING THEIR FAIR SHARE."

The rich spend more than $600-1,000 on a dinner out one night! If it was really to stop some kind of fraud in regards to the rich, the limit would be at least TEN TIMES higher than $600!

They're out to control how much of YOUR MONEY you have access at one time. I would definitely pull all money OUT of banks NOW.

Personally, I rarely even have more than $1,000 in a bank! Except right after I get paid, and then it goes right back out for bills....so I guess I'm considered too poor to worry about....

Chilean banks have had an electronic transfer limit from accounts of around USD6500 per day since I can remember. This has always been said to be "for our own protection", but it sucks when you have to do larger purchases.

I still have to use paper checks for larger amounts. And they only work for withdrawing at the bank in person.

Good lord, people. Read. That Table in Section 5(b) says these are the ACH and wire limits ===IF YOU DO NOT OPT INTO ANY SORT OF SECURITY PROCEDURE FOR THEM TO VERIFY THAT IT WAS YOU SENT THE WIRE/ACH===.

It is right there in footnote #3 of that section.

If you agree to get a callback or PIN from the bank on your wire transfers, the limit is (much) higher.

Calm down. These low limits are for the "we do not know who you are and you have a new account" customers.

You can send and receive more if you sign up for secured transfer, always been this way, they just lowered the limits for those that don't have secure transfer, used to be called safe pass. Its just 2 factor authentication.

I looked up what you wrote. You are correct, BUT when we are talking about millions of people who receive paychecks, etc. that are over $1,000.00 ... are they really going to need a pin to either send out or receive the money? How about a company with 100,000 employees...do they need to make a text message or send a pin for every transaction...or do the 100,000 employees need to receive a TXT or RSA pin every two weeks in order to get their money?

This is why IRS is hiring thousands of agents, and spending BILLIONS more. To catch the "thieves" doing transactions above their limit.
