AZ is becoming a shithole because of the mass migration East of the left coast. It use to be a great place. I just hope it's too hot for these idiots and they go back or to some liberal hell where they belong.

I've lived in a lot of places over the years due to my ex's job transfers. When we divorced I could choose anyplace in the country to move and hot-tailed it to North Georgia. Nice people, good job, awesome house that didn't put me in the poor house. I wake up to a beautiful mountain view every day. There are a whole lotta worse places.

Recently relocated from CT to SC. So far so good.

Oregon here too. Gawd I wish we could have a large mushroom cloud over Portland!

I left Portland for Florida 23 years ago. Best move I ever made. Florida isnt perfect, I live in a small unincorporated area that is pretty Chill.

NH is a great place and Love the little farming community D Acres and quartz filled areas around of the white mountains.

All fine and dandy barring for one thing I recently started to dislike very much - SNOW. The cold is slowly starting to get to me and the "arctic chills" and blizzards in the past decade has been a tad too much to handle.

I "LIKE" Ohio ... except for their taxes.

It would be better without the slums of Youngstown, East Cleveland, West Dayton, and the slums of Cincinnati, Toledo.

*Voted for Trump in 2020
*Pay scales are decent if you are willing to work (less than the coasts but MUCH MUCH than the rural states)
*Lots of rural areas if you want to be out of a city but close enough to them for great medical care
*Good to Great higher education system
*Lots of outdoor recreational opportunities, only missing the mountains
*Weather so so in the winter - too much cycling up and down but other than that OK
*Want to travel? Location is GREAT! Can easily drive -vs fly- to the East Coast, the Carolinas, Florida or the Gulf Coast, Texas, Illinois, St Louis/Kansas City, Chicago, Michigan with it's unbelievable lakes and shoreline (more than the entire West Coast) even Colorado - done it a number of times (and much of Canada if they ever open back up)

No place is perfect ... but give "ME" a very good pay scale job market with the option to live urban OR rural combined with great medical coverage LOTS of outdoor recreation and an ability to easily DRIVE vs fly to almost 1/2 of the country and I'll stay here (though will continue to bitch about their taxes)

AZ is only a shithole state if you live in Tucson.

WI is a great producer state. Beef, toilet paper, sausages, cheese, beer, toilet paper, cranberries, field veggies. Still has the only all polka radio station in the US.

Downfalls: Dem takeover of govt through a probable phony election, Milwaukee, Madison, Chicago. Yes, Chicago, we get a ton of people from Chicago looking for a better welfare state. Dem takeover of newspapers and all media. Gov Evers seeks to do better for his imported peeps.

I traveled to Nevada/Utah/Idaho/Montana/Eastern Oregon over the summer, found out everybody else did as well. The real estate agents and their banker buddies are waiting to do business with you, and contractors that are double and triple the prices compared to other areas are readily available, no way am I that desperate to overpay those prices when there is nothing but 7/11 type jobs as the major employer, ridicules.

I love Louisiana.. We bought an entire farm for less then the cost of one years rent in the San Francisco bay area.. Our taxes on this farm~? $121.00 per year.. My sisters taxes in Chicago for a regular ole nothing special house? $14,500 per year.. just taxes.. Oh wait a minute.. You all would hate Louisiana.. What ever you do, Don't move to Louisiana~! Yeah that's it.. Don't Move To Louisiana what ever you do..

Sometimes people need to move for legit reasons.

But, there is no state that exists that is perfect. Even if there were, a bunch of disgruntled people fleeing to it and getting pissed it is not like home, will screw it up.

A lot of morons think moving to "the south" will save them. Yeah, that's where the Civil War was. The government will fuck up the south any chance it gets.

Fun fact Idaho and Montana don't have any seven/eleven stores so you could get in there and start one.

Our property taxes in NH suck - it's higher than NJ. We don't pay sales tax or income tax but they get us with the property tax. I think the only state with higher property tax than us is NY.

I’m always seeing people on the road from Ohio in NC. We have a joke that nobody must like being in that state lol

NE Oregon, 6th generation. Actually the eastern side is an entirely different "state" than the west side but I see the liberal mindset worming it's way in at now a break neck speed.

We are still one of the most unvaccinated counties in the state though, although that's a big ol target on our backs..

My parents would never leave here & I am so tired of looking elsewhere. So now I just pray that Idaho will absorb us like many are pushing for.

But I'm not holding my breath.
