From Akron/Canton in the East to Dayton/Toledo in the West. It's Detroit + Satanists + Sex Swingers.

It would be better without the slums of Youngstown, East Cleveland, West Dayton, and the slums of Cincinnati, Toledo.
*Voted for Trump in 2020
*Pay scales are decent if you are willing to work (less than the coasts but MUCH MUCH than the rural states)
*Lots of rural areas if you want to be out of a city but close enough to them for great medical care
*Good to Great higher education system
*Lots of outdoor recreational opportunities, only missing the mountains
*Weather so so in the winter - too much cycling up and down but other than that OK
*Want to travel? Location is GREAT! Can easily drive -vs fly- to the East Coast, the Carolinas, Florida or the Gulf Coast, Texas, Illinois, St Louis/Kansas City, Chicago, Michigan with it's unbelievable lakes and shoreline (more than the entire West Coast) even Colorado - done it a number of times (and much of Canada if they ever open back up)
No place is perfect ... but give "ME" a very good pay scale job market with the option to live urban OR rural combined with great medical coverage LOTS of outdoor recreation and an ability to easily DRIVE vs fly to almost 1/2 of the country and I'll stay here (though will continue to bitch about their taxes)
