There once was a family that lived on a busy street. The father of the family told his 5 year old son not to cross the street without an adult with him.

One day the father crossed the street by himself and when he came back across the street to his house, his son was waiting for him.

The 5 year old chastised his father and reminded him of the rule of only crossing the street with another adult.

The father tried in vain to explain that he was an adult and didn't need another adult to accompany him to cross the street. The little boy could only see things from his limited perspective.

Much of the Bible is instruction to us as little children and is intended to protect us. The original covenant in the Torah is a listing of do's and do not's.

Abraham was commended for walking with the Creator and following IT's laws before they were written down, How did he do that. He went within and became One with source energy and followed the guiding of source energy.

In Jeremiah 31, there is a description of this process:

31 “Behold, days are coming,” declares the Lord, “when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and the house of Judah, 32 not like the covenant which I made with their fathers on the day I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke, although I was a husband to them,” declares the Lord. 33 “For this is the covenant which I will make with the house of Israel after those days,” declares the Lord: “I will put My law within them and write it on their heart; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. 34 They will not teach again, each one his neighbor and each one his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ for they will all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them,” declares the Lord, “for I will forgive their wrongdoing, and their sin I will no longer remember.”

In other words, the written instructions become outdated as people go within to find their connection with the Creator to follow It.

As the discussion in this thread has illustrated, some are trapped in the reality that they perceive. They are still locked into the written instructions and have not progressed to going within to connect to the Creator. To them it is truth as it is what they perceive. Like the 5 year old boy, they cannot see beyond their perceptions and refuse to consider the perceptions of others. The wise listen to all perceptions and realize that they are truth for the observer and may contain truth that could help others along their path.

So, each has to walk their own path. It is not our task to bring others on our path. Our path may be inappropriate for them.
