One of the heads of our company is Australian ( go figure ). I have been in EMS for 6 years and it’s time to leave. I have planned on leaving anyway, but this has put the nail in the coffin. I know many people who have been pressured to get the vaccine for their jobs due to having families. They are coming for private businesses next and then the churches , children and etc. I forgot to add that I found me a job working at a small business. The pay is $10 less than what I did make as a medic . But I am so thankful that my boss picked me up before the mandate and I am not as stressed and happier. I’m praying for a higher paying job after I finish my cybersecurity degree this spring . I think you and i would be friends if we knew each other. Ive been on back to back 12's for a long time, wife is pissed. We havent been able to get any one hired because no one is applying anyway. Ready for a long break. I never thought a president could have this much power where he could make a decree, (of sorts) and even though it isn't logical, or doesn't have any scientific basis, can just say it's so. I spent the remaining six years of my career in training. Five years is about average for an EMT or a paramedic in a private ambulance service. It's an unappreciated shit job. My hat's off to ya. |
