Transhumanism is all about escaping the blind, slow and flawed natural evolution.

Our bodies are terribly flawed. Inefficient inverted retinas, skeletal structure barely adequate for bipedal motion, no regenerative abilities, and so on. Hardly a "pinnacle of evolution".

Any natural progress is slow - measured in thousands of years. The progress is largely random.

With our science and technology we can direct our evolution, speed it up (e.g. CRISPR), and decide where we want our species to go.
