I think, we should have continued with 'McCarthyism', (though I do not believe in broad strokes) it was the democrats who stop his movement and then demonized him through endless hearings, because too many of 'them' were being rightfully exposed as communist sympathizers, or just plain socialists themselves who wanted to transform America.

Have 'they' finally succeeded?
