The Covid vaccine does not give you covid antibodies. It gives you antibodies to the spike protein. The two are different so you'll be negative for covid antibodies until the day you get covid and fight it off.

The theory behind this subunit vaccine is that by taking part of the coronavirus ( the spike protein ) that your body will recognize the whole virus when it comes a calling.
