If you look at the bible in a gnostic sense, the book of revelations applies to you, and you only as you lay on your deathbed.

Some people are dead their whole lives. Some people are born again in timeless wisdom.

I guess in this case rapture would mean a divine understanding bestowed upon the living to conquer the dead.

Probably because every generation says the world was way better when they grew up and from there point of view it has to be the end. I'm in my mid 30s and it's already starting to look that way, and I agree the world was a better place for every generation before us in most respects. The world was cleaner and people were nice, family meant alot more and peoples word actually meant something just like a hand shake. Technology has obviously gotten way better and made life way easier, but at what cost?

the rest of the bible is pretty straight forward, even though some is metaphorical and some is parabolic, it all relates to "mind science," or "spiritual science," and "wisdom."

Revelations.... i could never digest it.. i think the association to Vatican being the beast is probably the best.....errmm decode..

but yeah.. i dont put much weight in that book simply because i do not understand it.

To the op, I would disagree. It’s true that every generation has thought they were in the end times. Now we have a lot of “signs”, astronomical and here on earth that we’re not present in the past. The problem is people are not interested in seeing them or they are biblically ignorant.
Hopefully in not in my last days, I’m not that old, but I do have to say that in my youth, I was to stupid and uninterested in anything but having fun and climbing ladders.
I really think that’s the case with most younger people.

Perhaps to a degree but I think it is more self serving than that.

As they get older after holding on to this belief for 5 decades or more, they see the end of their own time coming and subconsciously realize they got conned and therefore they start to double down on it rather than admit it.

Perhaps it is like these vaxxtards who realize week after week that they got conned and double down on trying to get everyone else to also make their mistake to make themselves feel better about their bad decision.
