Not something I ever want to happen again. O.o Not sure what caused the first round, the second was set off just by a glimpse of the ceiling fan. Go figure. After a major workup, lots of tests, including an MRI, it was traced to an inner ear problem. I have to take Meclizin 25 mg, twice a day, and a third if needed. Once taking those, the room spins have not returned. Tho occasional dizzy spells. And my balance is still somewhat affected, and see the Neurologist for that. Haven't really noticed a pattern with mine being around the seasons tho. Will pay attention to that for future episodes, if any. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 79508824 United States 10/17/2021 10:42 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo? this is about 3 years I've had it. Seems worse in the fall and winter when weather changes. Quoting: OVRANALYZE Had the same symptoms about a year ago. My Doc sent me to the Neurologist. He sent me to another specialist that had me put on a nifty set of goggles that measured my eye movements as she moved my head around and induced the vertigo. She made some observations and sent me to the Physical Therapist who laid me on my back and rotated my head through a semi complex rotation, and no more vertigo. The problem was some of the “crystals” in the inner ear had become trapped in the wrong area. Basically that repositioned the strays back with the others, and the problem was solved. I got to say I had my crystals realigned and smile,😏! Plus pay the bill, but hey I got my crystals realigned!! |

I can’t even look down while riding in a car without feeling loopy. They have chewable raspberry generic pills. You just need a little nibble and that helps you feel normal. Too much and you get sleepy. You’ll figure it out if disrupts your life enough. |

They are always on low side |

I've experienced some vertigo and have found diet adjustments and meditation are really helpful in preventing it. |
