NO NO NO . My company orders from those tards and we get the crap that they are trying to get rid of such as Organic Radishes when we wanted the cheap bag. We have the food delivered and I kid you not, the food was supposed to go to our Island home over a bridge. THOSE IDIOTS LEFT OUR FOOD ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD BEFORE THE BRIDGE TO THE ISLAND WHERE OUR HOME WAS; 3 MILES AWAY !!!! They also will leave your frozen food on your front yard in the hot sun.

I was talking about curbside pickup. You drive to the store and they put it in your trunk.

Re: Thoughts on using curbside pickup at Walmart
You'd think that a big store like that would be somewhat efficient, but they never seem to be ready when they send the notification. My wife tends to make the orders and when we get there it's nearly to just over an hour wait. Call me old fashioned, but I cannot STAND seeing females being sent out into the rain to cars. I don't like seeing females sent out to load up heavy carts and trunks in the elements when they could be sending them to the younger males to load and when I help them load the groceries in, I have to Hurry because they'll get in trouble. I've tried to offer a couple of older ladies a couple of bucks and they told me they'll get written up over it. The truth is though, that my wife does the cooking, so I'll smoke one before we go and be glad that I don't work at Walmart when she's making dinner later.

They'll be fine. After all, they have that extra layer of fat. :)

"Margaret 'Maggie' O'Keefe : [about Cliff not going to Canada with her] But Cliff, it'll be so terrible. I'll, I'll be so cold and all alone. Who will keep me warm?

Cliff Clavin : You'll do fine Margaret. Women have that extra layer of fat."

They always give us expired or nearly expired fresh products. We have to make a special trip back or call and they just refund us.

Point is that its good to get boxed stuff but get your fresh stuff elswhere.

They gave me a gal of milk and loaf of bread that was 1 or 2 days from the exp date. I called and complained. They refunded the items and have not had an issue since.

Another time the bread was all smashed to hell. Another refund.

Problem has not recurred. They even ask if I would like the bread on the front seat.

I think they know your history and clean up their act if you keep them honest.

If you accept crap service, then they are happy to oblige. :)

I started using the service when they required masks to enter stores. I already had the Covid, but was still having marginal breathing. Wearing a mask in addition to that was just not something I could handle for a while.

You do what you gotta do sometimes.

Refrigerated and frozen stuff sit on the carts for too long. It's best to get that stuff yourself. Walmart shoppers normally discard these items anywhere in the store and when employees find these items sitting around the store they just put them back, spoiled. You have to watch what you buy and buy from the back. I've had way to many frozen pizzas not rise or taste like they dethawed before being re-frozen. The quality on frozen pizzas has plummeted in the last few years to begin with.

Walmart and Sam’s Club are great. What stands out for me among their many other qualities is that the clerks are focused on business and getting you through the checkout line and they aren’t trying to carry on a conversation with clerks at nearby registers or being all nosy and chatty and taking their time and wasting mine.

I tried to avoid Wal-Mart at all costs. Too many pajama-wearing, meth head, white trash morons. Unfortunately, they were the only ones left with tea lights and votive candles. It was convenient, although hated that I had to do it.

Well, maybe you should move to a non-meth head area. :)

At least you can minimize contact with meth heads if you use the pickup service.

This^. When I lived in Texas there were 4 super centers within a 15 min drive. The Fancy one in the upper crusty neighborhood, The Mexican one to the North, The middle class one to the west and the one in the black part of town I never went to. All had different stuff, catering to their local clientele.

There is only one in my new town in Arkansas. It’s pretty middle class but ghostly screams and I stopped into the local Town and Country last week and were surprised at the lovely produce there, between that and our awesome Asian market we have cut a lot of Walmart out of our lives. It’s a good feeling to support the local merchants but we still go there for some things. The season is over now but we were going to the farmers market on the square for our veg. That was fun and the produce was amazing.

I used the grocery pickup for a while. It was as pretty coo.
Making sammiches great again!

To summarize:
- Saves time. for me I save at least 30 minutes.

- Saves money. Easier to view alternatives and almost every order they upgrade something because what I ordered is sold out. Last time this was about $4.

- Reminder function keeps you from forgetting an item and making do until the next trip.

- If you are under mask restrictions, no mask needed.

If you have no value on your time, need the exercise of walking slowly through a store for a half hour, and like to miss things on your shopping list then yes, no upside for you.

Just passing along some information in case it helps somebody.

Re: Thoughts on using curbside pickup at Walmart
I can't stand the pick up service, especially if you're ordering something like any type of home goods, they will just pick whatever color and style they can.. They will even give you stuff that doesn't match. And. And if you pick a certain flavor of something they will just substitute whatever flavor, as long as it's the same brand. Such as granola bars, et cetera. I suppose it's all right if you're just getting 1 or 2 items and there's no way they can screw it up too badly.

I only use it for things like wipes or bottled water. Packaged dry goods. Not produce or things you'd prefer to browse.

I dont want to go inside their store.

Get what you want fast and I'm outta there.

Fast and efficient.
