Seriously: The Internet has gone totally boring!

I'll say this, because I was thinking about it today and I do feel it's related.

What amazes me is how dead and boring the internet is on the weekend. How digital and computer content in nearly 2022 still abides by obsolete and archaic rules.

You can't use the excuse anymore of people being out or busy on the weekends. Everyone has a phone, tablet, laptop, etc. They can use it on the beach, in a car, on the train, on the toilet, anywhere at anytime.

It makes no sense. The internet should be active, updates and lively 24/7. especially with worldwide and international interaction.

Yet, it's a ghost town.

Also, I've waited ALL weekend for an electronic deposit to "clear" into my bank. That's also insanely outdated. It's not like an actual physical person needs to log and deposit cash.
It's all done electronically, digitally and computerized. It should be instant... yet I'm waiting days like it's fucking 1968. Soon as Bill gets into the office at 9:00 am Monday, your deposit will be available. LOL!

Is anyone questioning the illogic of all of this shit?

This is all such bullshit. If it's not 100 % fake and controlled, it needs a complete tear down and overhaul, cause it's not working the way it logically should.

The internet always was pretty useless.

The best thing on it is when the German text critical society went online and opened it up for contributions to review.

I've made a few contributions that I hope will make their way into the critical text someday.

Other than scholarly sites that are in fact useful, the internet is 99% complete garbage. It's a sideshow and an utter waste of time.


GLP is slightly useful in that it has some news you may not be able to readily access elsewhere. However, even GLP is filled with useless trolling.

Back in 2008 or 2009 I had some extended family members who tried to get me on Facebook and then Twitter.

That got stupid and useless very quickly.

I kind of like it now as the internet has really melted into the background and doesn't play an overly important role for me.

If it all crashed tomorrow, you'd hear no complaints from me.

You are 100% correct. It started when Crai....t banned the classifieds, then UT purge the "lower class" of earners, slowly free speech degraded down to making the net nothing more than a mailbox and a handful of websites. You can't even find anything you have to go to multiple search engines and potentially dig for hours.

The internet had been ruined from what it used to be.

Dating sites have also become unusable, tracking peoples vaccine status and other issues of free speech and privacy.

Back to the old days for me, with only a handful of websites. It's always been fun for real estate listings.
