My wife and I had occasion to walk across a big college campus the other day and I got so many stares, smiles, and obvious gawks, my wife had to grab onto my arm and stare down these chicks literally half my age. Coincidence, but I am a woman and had to quickly stop by Walmart after work today to pick up a few things for work tomorrow. Now, I was in a hurry, just buzzing through the store. I had three older middle-aged men really smile, say hi, and look me up and down. I thought WTH was that about??? I finally came to the conclusion that I never shop after work and maybe it's the new thing - men on the lookout for women who work? But now I see they are just looking for someone who is strong and can pull their weight on the post-apocalyptic farm! LOL! Same here. I had a delivery guy come and drop off a new mattress for my mother's electric bed ( she's bed ridden and I take care of her). When he pulled up I was working on my big ass industrial size generator. I assisted him with his delivery. I didn't notice him right away cause I'm not in the market, I have a wonderful, strong man. But when he finished and was leaving I noticed he was looking at me and was smiling a lot. I wished him a good day. After a few minutes when he came back because he forgot to have me sign a bunch of papers, then I really took notice. He was tall, strong, and very handsome and was smiling nervously at me. I still didn't give him air in a jug but was very courteous. I know I was at least 15 years his senior, I wear no makeup and was dressed plainly as could be. I think men are looking for women that are not tatted up,mouthy,needy, fat and lazy, or dressed like whores. In these very uncertain times I don't think men are necessarily looking to have children but are looking for like minded help mates for the possible hard times to come. There is something to be said about knowing things. I grew up on a farm with a dad who only had daughters. What good were we if we couldn't feed and clean up after the livestock? He taught us what plants were edible when we were kids. I always thought eating weeds was a fun game - never figured I might actually need to know that when I got older! Well, I hope things never come to that, but with the way we are moving now, who knows. |

At work had another woman I work with found out it was my birthday and actually bought me a cake, her and my boss (also a woman) sang happy birthday to me. Ive never been treated like this before. I m no Chad either always been grateful for my wife and I still am. Ive also noticed the guys at my work who were young and single cant get any dates latley too most of them are tall, single, have money, and muscles but nothing from them. I hear them voice their frustrations after year after year of bragging about their conquests. Could the difference be they all have hadvtge bad and I have not?
