I remember a day, way back when I was in college, when a maintenance guy would show up and do what he did, and nobody would bat an eye, and certainly nobody would go to the trouble to write an op ed about it. That guy would have been loudly, and appropriately, mocked and ridiculed for being such a raging pussy. Oh, for the days of yore. Also, ladies, never date a guy with a hyphenated last name. There is no clearer sign of excessive soy consumption and pussy-hood.
