After more watching - I think they were just boulders being blown out of the back of the volcano which rolled down to flat ground.

Hard to tell, with all the grey out times, what is going on but there are boulders being shot out from the back again tonight.

Every so often I can see a huge chunk fly out at a very high, long arc. Judging the eruption back there is much much bigger.
