3.09 seems to be the average in my area, near Columbus, GA though I was in Birmingham this past weekend and the Buccees there had gas for 2.73 which was a welcome relief, sadly

3.40ish in W western NY. I'm so glad I drive electric.

Central and eastern NC running anywhere from $3.09 - $3.19 for regular. Sucks. But I'll never own an electric vehicle. Ever.

I'm holding out for my George Jetson flying car.

I had to look halfway hard for this. It seems they chart up to 10 years, and 2008 was 13 years ago. But this one [link to www.thriventfunds.com (secure)] shows average US gasoline prices for the 2000-2020 period.

Check out the peak in 2008, and then the wondrous drop afterwards. Happy days.

$3.53 avg for non-ethanol in the Corn State of Iowa. You have to look hard to find that pump with all the various percentages of ethanol-added gas, which would not be kind on an older car like a 2004 CRV. It messed up husband's van a bit.

Or join Costco or Sam's Club and get that deal, but they're 30 minutes away, and membership price to get it.
