I am glad that we are retired just last year. My husband fire for 41 yrs and me an RN for 35 yrs.

This sucks, these men and women are sacrificing so much and they are just being thrown away by this admin.

I am wondering if the national guard will be called in to do the policing and fire duties.

In my opinion they will not be replaced - the push to defund the FD/PD will pick up speed and soon Seattle will be left with a token group of Fire and Police individuals that are near retirement and just trying to hang on and not doing any actual police work. When they are gone it will be the Liberal City Council calling the shots and getting fake news coverage from the liberal msm regarding what a great job they are doing - completely disregarding and not reporting crime and fire statistics. I expect lawlessness to be the way of life in most of the city and into many previously protected suburbs. JMHO from having lived in the PNW and watched the speed with which it is unwinding from being paradise to hell on earth.

The one thing I have trouble understanding is WHY the property values, both commercial and residential continue to climb at astronomical rates. Who would want to invest? but then again I look at the real estate values in SF, Portland, L.A., and SMH! Why? Who?

Have a group of Police arrest the Mayor and put him in a jail cell. Make sure he has no cell phone and then just leave and turn off the lights.

I get what you’re saying. Sometimes people don’t wake up till it hits them personally. Most of this country is still asleep, letting TPTB dictate their lives. Hopefully more and more will hear the alarm clock and act like these civil servants did.
