Uncertainty is the mood I see right now on the market.

In my opinion we are in a terrible spot. High prices with poor supply mainly because of politics. There are many disasters that could and likely will unfold from here. China being another shoe to drop shortly. In the past, once we get to these situations a big cleanout job is not far behind. Thoughts?

I believe this train is about to derail. Get prepared.
Looking like higher prices and earnings for this week. Legislation that may be passing probably lead to more inflation. Crazy.

If mortgage rates fall any lower, you may already be able if CD rates are higher than your mortgage rate, to take a second mortgage and buy a CD for greater value and bank the difference...

It is. But they wont let it. Until they have FULL CONTROL. They wont risk wiping out the 401ks of their suburban white liberal voters in swing districts, until they dont need them anymore...then buh bye.

No one can say when that will be.

Outside a black swan event, the market will continue to go much, much higher..until it crashes in epic devastation.

Perhaps in time. I think a 5 year cd is around 1%. Now some deferred fixed 5 year annuities might be around 2% or so.

All banks make their big profits on loans. Of course some banks niche are very much different and their rates reflect that niche.
