I don’t understand how he thinks free market enterprise can be used to build up a society based on millions of commercial preference votes over two centuries that frame the society people prefer, only to be disassembled by a handful of self impressed narcissists acting with oligarchical fiat, thinking that this ‘we know best’ economy will last. As a student at Syracuse University, I watched fences being erected around the main quad encompassing Maxwell, Newhouse, Crouse and University Halls. Once the snow fences went up, the university installed high quality sidewalks that created a beautiful geometric pattern when looking down on the quad. It wasn’t a month after the snow fences were removed that the same old cow paths through the grass at twisted unpredictable angles, we’re back. Capitalism like students, will reveal the shortest path and the highest traffic and the cheapest convenience. You can’t extinguish that. Given Biden was alleged to be top of his class at Syracuse’s law school, you’d think he would have learned that lesson but given his track record, I don’t think he even knows where Crouse College and Maxwell really are.

I remember having a conversation with a Socialist when the plandemic was in its early stages (summer 2020 or so).

He was giddy about the fact that MSNBC reported that carbon emissions were at their lowest in modern history, due to almost no planes flying and everyone being locked down in their homes and not driving.

He suggested that we do this indefinitely in order to 'save the planet.'

These folks are completely NUTS and will literally try to do this to push their climate control agenda.

I don't put anything past them.

Antique cars will be exempted. Another reason to drive older vehicles.

What are they gonna do about it? Give up their social security (republican voters) and food stamps (democrat voters)?

I remember the godawful emissions testing decades ago. You could not get car tabs if they believed your car was polluting. Then you had to spend money on fixing what they thought was the problem.

They realized 75% of the pollution was coming from Semi Trucks who were exempt. Then they finally ended the stupid program.
