EVERYONE used to smoke and most of those people made it well into their 80's. Cigarettes became the scapegoats when all the other cancer causing chemicals made their way into our lives. Quoting: TheEmptyChild We have been lied to about EVERYTHING and those who still think that the cigarettes are what cause cancer are gullible and don't use logical thinking. How many children and non-smokers have to die before people wake up? Covid is the new cigarette...heart attack?...nope, died of covid. Car accident?...nope, died of covid. It's pretty obvious. If you are going to be truly awake you have to shed ALL of their lies and not just pick and choose. The huge spike in smokers lung cancer in the USA was caused by the open air nuclear testing of the 50's and 60's. REALLY. I believe it. |

After my first colonoscopy doctor called my wife to make sure everything was in order because I would soon die. Didn't know how long. Only thing that kept me alive was codeine and high steroids. Total misery. Well guess what it all started after I stopped smoking. After some time got tired of the battle and went back to smoking. Guess what full blown remission. No meds. Went on with my life raised a daughter and put her thru college debt free. That started in 1990 and still smoking and going strong. Wish I didn't know now what I didn't know then. If the more I know, the more I know I don’t know, then do I truly know what I know because I know I don’t? You cannot reach a correct conclusion if you begin with an incorrect assumption |

It’s not like the government loves you Quoting: Anonymous Coward 80359482 Something to do with blood or do cigarettes protect you in some way The nicotine kills parasites. Nicotine is basis for many insecticides and other chemicals. This is true. Another thing it does is cause the lungs to secret mucous, which is them expelled from the lungs bringing viruses and whatever else you have breathed in out with it. That hacking up mucous seems real bad, but is it really? I have the "flu" ONE TIME in over 50 years, and it was when I quit smoking. |

Small quantity very good, too much will kill you. Why would the government want you off them? The funny thing about that is, they don't. The tobacco industry was largely nationalized through the 1998 Master Settlement Agreement. The Tobacco companies pay ~60% of their profits to federal and state governments, in perpetuity. This funding is a huge part of state budgets. Which is why they immediately kill any successful alternative to smoking cessation, like vaping, that gives you the same sensation as smoking with 95% less of the harmful chemicals and no combustion, thus no carcinogens, which are your main proponents of lung cancer. If the government wanted people off cigarettes, they would just ban them. But, they cannot, as their statewide budgets rely on Tobacco profits to continue working at current levels. And that doesn't even touch on the fact that big pharma doesn't want you to quit either. Cancer and Cancer treatments are a multi-billion dollar a year industry. They have zero incentive to cure or stem off these diseases. |

After all Gods says every green plant is good. Then in a surprising way I learned. I learned we are all under biological warfare in every chemical we use in our homes, stores etc. it’s counter is tobacco and essential oils. The counter for all EMF is lead paint. Yes you can die from emphysema, you can die from too much of anything! Your will die! It’s guaranteed from the day you were born. Grow up people! Paint with EMF paint NOT bought from Amazon because they water it down! Burn ancient tobacco, clean with essential oils, bless your home daily in these things. Protect your self from this evil, great evil day! |

I enjoy it. Some people like skiing down a mountain or jumping out of a plane, and it could kill them. But they take the risk because life is short. I knew two smokers in their 90's who died of lung cancer. I should be so lucky. But I also knew three people who died of it and neither of them smoked at all. |

Quoting: Jroy I’m a Leo and have smoked since my teens. I consider the smoke as sending my prayers to Heaven. I also think it makes us taste bad to the “feeders” or vampires. It helps me to focus and I use it as an excuse to get away from people to “take a smoke break.” And why are the longest lived people smokers? I saw an article about an indigenous person who died at 109 years who was a lifelong smoker. Something is fishy here… There is some truth to what you have written. |

The reports have been posted here. And yes it's obviously factual as the gov is doing anything they can to stop you from beating covid your way. It seems to mainly be menthols that lower your chances of catching covid. And oddly enough the gov only wants to ban menthol cigarettes, because they care about you and your health. |
