BREAKING UPDATE: Gun Alec Baldwin Fired on the Movie Set Contained 'Live Round,' Prop Masters Union Says

This really explains a LOT and it jives with what do many of us who've worked in film have been saying all along, that it didn't make sense based on the protocols that we all were familiar with.
She was new to film other than documentaries and the whole crew was non Union. You guys have no idea what that means. They were there to prove themselves and they didn't even know the basic protocols of film world much less the safety rules of handling firearms.
This is so sad.
I promise bravado and laying it on the line and maybe even being afraid of the stars and the directors. It was so stupid for them to be in the line of fire to begin with and when you're about to shoot a scene or promo whatever, every second costs a ton of money and when you're already on a low budget geez, people who don't know what they're doing will cut safety corners for all sorts of reasons.
I will say that this must be LA Iatse workers because the ones in Georgia drive an hour every day doing twelves and never bitch about it at all. I realize that's what the strike is about and all but now they'll claim it was "all" about safety when it really wasn't.
We all know when we sign on to a project that were going to be working 12s and probably for at the very least a month straight without a single day off. That's just part of what is required and it's nothing to go two months or more.
The LA people are mostly whiney lol shits is what I'm saying.
Still, it's horrible losing yet another crew member for safety violations!!??
It's insane and should have never happened!

Was he horsing around?

Were they planning/rehearsing a scene?

If he was pointing the gun at people and pulling the trigger
for fun, that'd make the situation much worse. Though, of
course, it shouldn't have fired a bullet in the
first place regardless.
