People conflate inflation with hyperinflation. The fact that a CEO of a multibillion dollar company makes such a mistake is unthinkable. The average member of glp can be excused for conflating these two, but not people who are CEOs.

What we are going through is normal inflation, not hyperinflation. Even if it gets MUCH MUCH worse, it will still be inflation and not hyperinflation.

There are countries with 10-20-30% inflation rates and never got to hyperinflation.

The point is that Dorsey WANTS the dollar to hyperinflate, because that will make his bitcoins worth more, and help to convert the rest of America into a communist California Nightmare. Hyperinflation is all about the general public losing faith in the fiat currency. He is trying to influence public opinion to ditch the dollar, like Musk did with Doge Coin.

To have hyperinflation you have to owe in a currency you don't print. We have the reserve currency, so we owe in the currency we do print. Hence we can have inflation, even pretty severe inflation, but not hyperinflation.
