It probably is as simple as that. I got salt lamps years ago, twice, and each time I had to get rid of them. I can't stand to be near them more than 30 minutes and I get nausea, dissiness and feeling I'm gonna throw up. I don't know if it's being sensitive or the shit in it. Most recalled products never get returned. They issue a warning and to throw it away. No way to count or test. The government just waits for deaths. And informs other agencies. And how many of these vials will be in stocking stuffers for Xmas. I agree on the feeling around salt lamps. I get that too. |

Those Himalayan Salt lamps aren't healthy either. The exporters in Pakistan laugh at the American consumers who buy them. But since Covid was a biological weapon, and we still don't know the origin... it's easy to start another round against our food supply. Who knows what is really in personal body care products. Makes you just want to wash with water. Or make our own cleaning products. I do have salt lamps and haven’t been sick. I do like the glow. Oh well. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 79543875 United States 10/23/2021 07:02 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I've got shilagit that was surely contaminated with heavy metals and also got herbs from India with parassite eggs. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 80110080 But I can get deadly shit from every where True. But dumbass consumers will buy these vaporizers thinking it's "healthy" to breathe in these exotic scents and that's it's healthy because it came from a DRUG STORE. Many humans have lost their natural ability to remove deadly shit from their own environment. I know. It’s just overwhelming all the stuff we use that we shouldn’t. Or eat things we think are healthy and aren’t. People who are deliberately selling contaminated things will have karma come back at them. It never fails. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 79543875 United States 10/23/2021 07:04 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Right, everyone bathes in the Ganges River. The same place they dispose of their dead bodies. And wash their clothes. But if India is the next patsy for a biological weapon that is as deadly as Covid then this is an indication that the ATTACK is larger and more complex than we have imagined. if cleanliness is next to godliness then india is the lowest level of hell Actually being too clean is bad for us. Over sanitizing is harmful. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 79543875 United States 10/23/2021 07:16 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | What makes this story so important is the fact that it is evident and true that weaponized diseases can be distributed and carried out this way. Quoting: Pole Cat It cannot be denied. Think about this the next times you spray reddywhip on your pie, spray room refresher, use hairspray, spray Pam on your skillet, etc... Yes we at GLP have always known this, but no one can deny it now. All who are reading about this will now be paranoid about what we are using. Especially aerosols. Not a bad thing to be a little paranoid. |

User ID: 77804384 United States 10/23/2021 07:59 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | After some research... It's not some mysterious disease. The problem is caused by a gram negative bacteria called Burholderia pseudomallei. Gram negative bacteria can be deadly, and this is a prime example. The room spray was either not preserved properly, the preservative failed, or the product was contaminated (bad manufacturing practices/lack of sanitation). It's not the essential oils that are at fault. It's not the water's fault....but... anything containing water can potentially grow nasties. For example, mix only vegetable oil and water in a jar and sit it on your counter. In a matter of days, with out a proper preservative the oil and water mix will grow all matter of gram negative and positive bacteria, becoming putrid. I've made my own soaps and lotions. I've had this happen before by accident and with purchased beauty products that were not preserved properly or where the preservative failed. This can easily happen to any product that contains water. The aromatherapists will say, "Oh the essential oils should have preserved it". No, the essential oil can become overwhelmed by the bacterial growth. There are no requirements and very little regulation on room sprays, since it is not a food, drug, or cosmetic. Perhaps the end result of this fiasco is to gain more regulations in this area. But accidents are going to happen regardless. Contamination is going to happen. And preservatives are going to fail. |
