Was this a real Law and Order episode, this Baldwin shooting? Was this an ingenious way to solve the Lee killing? First, find out everyone involved with the Lee movie, then bring them to the Baldwin filming and get word out that this directors is ratting out sex criminals and needs to get eliminated. Offer anyone an insane amount of money to help do it. When someone takes the offer, then give them a real gun with FAKE bullets loaded, but no one knows this. The person who was paid puts real bullets in the gun. At some point, either blanks are out in, or the gun it's switched with blanks already loaded in it. Even the shooter doesn't know. When the shots are fired, the victims fall down, fake blood loaded on them, the whole deal just like in a movie. But actors act, so they play injured, bleeding, the whole deal. The rescue personnel are actors, they know what's going on. Now, the person who planted what he thought was real bullets in the prop gun is probably the same one who planted real bullets in the Brandon Lee murder. Dogs always return to their vomit. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78657105 Brandon Lee was killed on the set of the original Crow movie, not the sequel. Read the words. Let's go Brandon..... Lee Eff off! He was well aware of gun safety, and very familiar with guns in general, and was the film's director as well. Third Degree Murder and a ten year prison sentence with NO parole Alec Baldwin was not only "starring" in Rust but was also the producer. Producers responsibilities: overseeing all elements of pre-production, production and post-production, right up to release. Although Baldwin might have little liability as an actor, as the producer, he will bear the responsibility for this. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78057003 Shillshillshill I kind of agree, the guy is a jerk, has a temper and he is a liberal hollywood guy but he seems to be a great dad and husband and person when not being a jerk which does not make him a murderer UNLESS he is a CIA so we will see...... Beating an old man over a parking spot is different than being a big jerk-face with temper. That's someone with zero impulse control, like a serial rapist. I disagree, I think murders and rapes are very well planned and calm and cool calculating moves, I can see somewhat being impulsive and taking knee jerk reactions but putting a bullet in a gun, a prop gun used to make a movie knowing it will kill someone and end up in jail for life? Also he really was very remorseful, crying and puking along the side of the road; rapists have no remorse |

User ID: 77710361 United States 10/23/2021 01:15 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Why was assistant director handling the weapon at all? Armorer should have been handling all weapons. Period. Full Stop. Out of control production. In my experience in Low Budget Movie Making, the professional crew (i.e., actual professionals instead of 'wanna-bes') were the camera crew, grips, and electric dept. The "production staff" (p.a.'s, assistant directors, Art Dept, props, wardrobe, etc.) were all newbies and tyros. The fact that the 'pros' walked off is a tell tale give away that this production was more than just 'troubled' but rather completely f*cked. The armorer was 24 years old? How many 24 year olds do you know that you would put in a life or death responsible position? You wouldn't give a 24 year old the gaffer job (head electrician), you wouldn't even have a 'best boy' (gaffer's head assistant) that young. These are jobs where a mistake KILLS PEOPLE. Let's assume Alec was a producer in name only (financial participation). Who was the Executive In Charge? Who hired these people to run the set? Avoidable tragedy. Shameful. These folks should never work in the industry again. This movie should never see the light of day, and I'm sure it won't being that they were not yet even half way through the shoot. No one insures this company again. whoever provided the insurance so far will pull their policy and pay it off. Too much liability. |

Assuming the reports are true, I don't see how it could be anything else. Low budget movie intentionally shot in a place with less controls and rules around gun wrangling on set. The experienced crew is antagonized until they walk off and are replaced with scabs one of whom actually happens to be they guy who handed over the gun that killed Brandon Lee and one of the victims is the wife of a Clinton lawyer. The guy who pulls the trigger is notoriously anti-gun. This stinks more than Obama's Fast and Furious operation and now the conspiracy theories around Brandon Lee's death have more weight than they ever did. |

User ID: 80826057 Canada 10/23/2021 01:49 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Quoting: KuvaszLove It had live ammo in it. It basically the same thing, just different bullets. The gun that killed Brandon Lee fired a fragment, not a live round. It was a blank cartridge, but the firearm used had a "squib" bullet lodged in the barrel. This situation resulted in the bulletless blank shooting the squib bullet out of the barrel much as if it had been a regular live round. I thought he was struck in the head, but a writeup stated Brandon was struck in the abdomen. Shame. They haven't indicated yet if it was a blank+squib situation or a live round in this latest incident. Last Edited by Big Duke6 on 10/23/2021 01:54 PM |
