Minority groups are also a big problem. We need to go back to the original concept. If you don't own land, house, Real estate property, etc., you can't vote. Although I think it should be expanded to those who run a business or are self employed also. These are the groups that bear the brunt of the taxes, fees, licenses, rules and restrictions that the government sets up, yet receive very little in return. Owning is hard to do. How about the right to vote is reserved for those that pay more in taxes than they take in services tax funded paychecks included. Anything else is a conflict of interest.
