California Atmospheric River Discussion

When the current Atmospheric River has finished dropping it's water the Oroville Reservoir will already have received in the NEW rain year (starts Oct 1) almost as much rain as it received in the entire prior rain year from 10/1/20 to 9/30/21.

For last rain year the reservoir received 16.54" of rain. So far through yesterday the reservoir had receive 13.76" of rain and the reservoir as of yesterday was up 65'+- from what it was on Sept 30. (up to 693.44) Of course the numbers will be going higher over the next two days and there is the possibility that by the end of the calendar year the reservoir will have already received as much rain as all last rain year with the rest of the winter storms yet to arrive.

The wind has been pretty crazy this morning here just south of Oroville.

I haven't yet gone out to investigate what got blown away.
