Is it really because you cant make bomb material from it?
Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77523900 At the time we were working on them in the 70's they stopped all the funding for Molten Salt Reactors and instead funded Fast Breeder Reactor program. The Fast Breeder Reactors are used to get weapons grade material. At that time it was the cold war so they were just interested in bombs.
