The other day, a guy in town was caught trying to scan a candy bar over the UPC of a new TV at Walmart..lol

there is something called " poppin handles " .

You grab a case of beer and rip the handle up or off . Turn one of the cans so the bar code is showing . When you get to the self checkout make sure just the can gets scanned .
It will only charge you for a 6 pack .

Now if the cashier sees that you are only paying 7 bucks or so for a case they will notice so you need to do it with some other groceries because they have to check your id .

I guess you could show them your id first but im not sure if that would prompt them to scan your beer .
