This is why I'm looking forward to the hard times we can't avoid now... Hard times create hard men and this is what we need. I very much include myself in this too... I see what's coming as a crucible which will either harden and temper me Into a far better man or break me. I am ok with either frankly. Anything is better than what we have now, this isn't actually living. My exact sentinents. Great post. It's liberating and exciting isn't it? So many others are afraid, angry, and wasting their emotional energy and efforts doing nothing but lamenting the situation and angrily typing away in meaningless thread after meaningless thread about "the latest outrage". I've accepted that the system is broken, has made me it's enemy, and is going to try to destroy me the people I love and turn the country I love into something out of a nightmare. Now that I've accepted that this is what the situation is, the path I need to take in order to survive thrive and fight back in the current situation is slowly becoming more clear. I have stopped being reactive, I'm still scared sometimes, and I harness this fear to drive me towards something productive. I still drop into these threads and try to get people to see and accept our situation since we need more people to have the truly good outcomes that are still possible. I just want people to see that it's not hopeless, that this is a once in several generations opportunity, and that we need to seize onto this opportuniy like our lives depend on it because they actually do! roguetechie |
