There is a glimmer of hope, after all! I was almost moved to tears when I found this video a while ago, because I had been thinking that everyone in any position of power globally was bought and paid for already.

Brilliant.

Finally someone in power is examining the legitimacy of the "Covid measures" in the light of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. This could be sound basis for class action in Hague!

Controlled opposition, i spose.

The problem is that these people don't have any power. The EU parliament doesn't have any power, the power lays with the EU commission and they are all bought and paid for.

I'm glad they had this press conference, but why did they wait until the Green Pass was going to affect them personally? The people they represent have been fighting this kind of attack on their human rights for months, and now they decide it's time to speak out?

I'm glad they are - finally - but they are not the council and no one knows who sits on the EU Council and who is making the decisions. Parliament has zero impact on making or reversing EU law. This infuriates me. It is not representative government at all.

I am an American who is now held hostage in Ireland. I can not go visit my family in the United States without the shot. Ireland won't let me back in unless I have the shot or PAY OUT OF POCKET for the required 14 days of quarantine. This is unacceptable! My parents are in their late 70s and I shouldn't be held hostage at needle point just to be allowed to see my own parents.

I doubt this conference will do any good. Ireland has gone full Stasi on the covid pass. You have to have a cell phone and download the app. We don't have a cell phone because you need your passport to get one and we can't get ours renewed because of restrictions so our passports are 2 years out of date. This is bullshit!

US Embassy doesn't even pick up the damn phone!

While you're technically right, KipKap, they're still a voice that will reverberate throughout the heinous EU structure. Many people will see this presser and will gain the confidence to go out in the streets and protest. How many of us will it take for the puppets up there to pause, rethink and ease the pressure? They're bringing our lives to a standstill and, while they've undoubtedly planned all actions and consequences many years ago, they're only human and there must be some way to stop them, short of a pan-European civil war?

People power.

Just political grandstanding. The EU parliament decides nothing and that's a good thing. Reason will prevail once the Commission makes its moves.

The EU folks seem to be asleep at the wheel.
