They are beginning to ask questions, since the scales tipped further in favour of NOT vaccinating since Omicron is not as severe in the acute phase (and vaxxes likely do nothing toward long-term sequelae).


If I were June Raine right now, I'd probably be very worried.

I've been exposed to at least 5 COVID positive people in the past month, I'm fine.

In the past 2 months, I've been exposed to someone who had a nasty cold and most recently I was exposed to someone who had a nasty stomach bug that spread through their whole household... I'm still fine.

ParaUK.... this "cold" is on the verge of killing a good friend of mine, who is in her 30s. She has double pneumonia and is fighting for her life. Another person in my circle (who is older) also has pneumonia, and several of my younger friends are in their 4th week sick, having gotten infected around the holidays. I've never known a cold to behave that way.

These states are testing 10s of thousands of people. 100% positive? Would very sick old people go to a test center, stand in line in the cold for who knows how long and take a test? I know I would not. The alternative is that Omicron and possibly variant BA.2 has infected a large % of the USA already.

Prions generate amyloid plaques. Amyloid plaques are not exclusively prion based. You proved nothing except that there is a subset of PrP-generated amyloid plaques, which literally no one disagrees with. That’s like saying all dogs are poodles because poodles are dogs. It does not follow.

Now please point me to the research that shows that SARS-CoV-2 generates PrPSc.

If you don’t have any - and I’ve asked you for this multiple times now - then maybe you’re the one who doesn’t know what they’re talking about.

covid does not exist in a vacuum of other viruses. a quick search will show new zealand had a huge uptick of RSV for children due to isolation for 2 years and lack of ability to create an immune response so that RSV that is normally fought of easily by children was much more severe.

Every bit as likely this child has RSV or other virus. Even if it is solely Covid, 2 years of isolation has inhibited natural immune response and ability.

And as I have explained, there is a fundamental difference between prion-genic sites and midfolded prion disease. A prion-genic site is found all over the body, and is not inherently pathogenic. It’s pathogenic when it generates PrPSc.

This cold has basically knocked my wife out for three weeks and counting now, with no signs of abating, and given her pneumonia. Her Dr is going to schedule some scans whenever she is feeling up to it. It's not looking great for her at the moment.
