Interested to hear a few sensible suggestions as to why I’m smelling cigarette smoke everywhere for the last week or two. I had Covid back in September so it would have been Delta- is this a known issue four months down the line?

Neurological damage

One of the ppl I know with double pneumonia is fully vaxxed and boosted, and the other is unvaxxed. My friends with the 4-week-and-running flu-like illness are vaxxed (they're university people, and our job requires it.)

That's awful DM, please be super careful yourself, all 3 times I was sick over the last 2 years with whatever it was I insisted on antibiotics, inhaler and a course of prednisone and I'm convinced that kept me from being hospitalized.

I went from feeling bad to worse to horrible overnight each time and did not want to play the waiting game. I generally do not like medicating even a really bad cold but these episodes just felt different.

My gut instinct was loud and clear that it was bad and needed more than alka seltzer and rest. I believe the meds and the therapeutics learned from you and everyone on the threads saved mine and my family's lives.

Best prayer to you too, try to take leave to keep close monitoring on your wife 24 x 7 if possible, so that you can render help any time when needed.

I've seen this listed as a Long Covid symptom many times -- phantom smells (aka olfactory hallucinations). I have these, as a result of a Lyme infection many years ago that never fully cleared my body, and they're common among Lyme sufferers.

For some odd reason, cigarette smoke is one of the most common phantom smells. I get it pretty regularly, when I know that there is nobody anywhere near me who is smoking.

Felt like crap so took a test, i have Covid.

My symptoms are,

Headache
Fever
Slight cough
Body aches
Pressure in Stomach

Started with diarrhea.

After dodging it for 2 years i finally got it, not vaccinated so relying on Vit C with Zinc.

Any other recommendations?

Vitamin D (3,000 units+) daily and Vitamin K for absorption. Very important. There are other recommendations (yes Ivermectin really does work) but I consider the D and K to be essential.

Take care, really sad when people like you are infected one by one despite trying to avoid it and stayed safe for the last 2 years; not sure when is my turn, I can be careful 999 times but it just take 1 mistake to get me.

Minimal must take Vitamin D, then throw in the rest like Quercetin, Melatonin, Aspirin etc. Tried all these taken together previously (at recommended dosage) with my wife, no side effect encountered but be safe, anything wrong, just stop taking them and go see doctor, thanks.

covid update

Just a little check in.

Got shot for this remark from the mrs, but she looks older, and she lacks color in her face, gray even in her face.

While shes still neg she a lot more tired then normal, so the body is still fighting something off/recovering from it.

Interesting... Trinity reported similar..AND a potential solution.
