I think it won't matter if it is mRNA or inactivated vacine - if the spike is made as a result of injection, then this is a plausible mechanism for impairing immunity...

We report that the SARS–CoV–2 spike protein significantly inhibits DNA damage repair, which is required for effective V(D)J recombination in adaptive immunity.

Mechanistically, we found that the spike protein localizes in the nucleus and inhibits DNA damage repair by impeding key DNA repair protein BRCA1 and 53BP1 recruitment to the damage site.

Our findings reveal a potential molecular mechanism by which the spike protein might impede adaptive immunity and underscore the potential side effects of full-length spike-based vaccines"

Yes, a good deal of our immune system is housed in the gut (and a lot of our neurotransmitters, such as serotonin, dopamine, etc.) are produced there as well. That's part of why it is so troubling that Americans (among others) have such poor GI health ... it doesn't just affect one's digestion to have a lousy gut -- it affects the entire body, brain, etc.

I'm having a very hard time believing Uncle Doom about Omicron acting as a vaccine. I've generally listened to what he has to say, and have taken a lot of his suggestions seriously (and, they've been pretty good suggestions, for the most part.) However, I am not buying his narrative about Omicron.

It's a weird variant, to be sure. It doesn't seem to have evolved out of Delta, but rather to be something else that either mutated from one of the early strains of Covid, or to have come from human-to-mouse transmission and back again, perhaps. I've even read that some scientists consider it a different virus altogether, rather than a variant of Covid.

Sorry I don't have links for this stuff -- I'm operating from memory, and it's too early in my morning for me to go searching around for references.

All this to say, sorry UD .... but I just don't buy that Omicron is a designed variant by some genius to give us immunity.

I am just getting over a bout with Omicron and the knee pain was the worst part by far. The pain between my shoulder blades lasted longer but wasn't quite as bad.

I watched a video from Dr John Campbell that made perfect sense. He speculated, based on available data, that rodents were infected with the original Wuhan virus, and over time the virus brewed inside them, and then they bit humans or excreted onto human food that was then eaten and consequently infected humans. Having been around 3rd world food markets, that scenario seems much more plausible than the genius version.


I believe it's much too scary for most people to believe that we have very little, possibly no control, of this situation. I am tempted to say "If God did not exist, it would be necessary to invent him?" Voltaire. This is what we are doing, inventing the genius.

It's too unnerving to come to terms with the reality that the human race is controlled by the whims of chance.

This makes sense to me, too. Heck, even 1st world food establishments have rodent problems. I live in an area with a lot of restaurants (and have a cafe downstairs from me.) Rats are something that just goes with the territory. Since Omicron is so transmissible, it seems that even contact with rodent feces (say, from cleaning up a mess made by rodents) might be enough to spread it. Hantavirus is spread by rodent urine and feces, which can become aerosolized when one sweeps up droppings, etc.

Yeah, I think we have lost control of the situation altogether, with it now in animal reservoirs. Rodents are particularly a problem since they are so ubiquitious, but other animals are carrying it too --- deer, cattle, etc.

UD never did explain his sudden U-turn from "this is the stealth variant that I warned you about, that ends us all!" to his current "it's a designed, contagious vaccine" theory.

I'm inclined to believe that it's a nasty, stealthy disease that has the potential to cause a lot of problems down the line for many of those who had a "mild" initial presentation. I'd love to be wrong about that, and I hope that people recover fully ... but Long Covid is real, and it's a big concern with contagion so widespread.

Table 12 used to show infection rates, hospital presentations and deaths per 100k for unvaccinated vs. 2-doses-or-more.

The HSA have unilaterally shifted to an unvaccinated vs. 3-doses-only group.

So rushed was the change, that the original table footnote on p38 still said rates for people with 2-doses, until the HSA hurriedly corrected it.

For a wwhile, I can still produce the rates for 2-or-more doses, because I maintained my own population statistics in line with the ONS, so I think I have just found what I'm doing tomorrow afternoon...

No, it still has "Unvax", "1-dose" (1-20days), 1-dose(21d or more), 2-doses(14d or more) and the extra one: 3-doses (14d or more).

Am looking now at Table 9.
The 2-dose total is 1,112,775 cases
The 3-dose total is 935,833 cases.

So it seems disingenuous to just not bother with 2-dose people in Table 12.

A properly filled out death certificate will NEVER list SARS-CoV-2 as the sole cause of death.

This doesn’t say only these people died of Covid.

It says that there are people who are bad at filling out death certificates.

Ok, I got bored. Here is the UK case rates plot.

This shows case rates per 100k of the relevant population for:
unvax - note these are truly unvaxxed. Never Jabbed.
vs.
2-doses or more (2nd dose >=14 days ago)

Plot also includes the group that the HSA now reports on
3-doses (3rd dose >=14 days ago)

My take:
- Booster has reduced case rates in the young, we don't know how long for, though.

- Booster has brought case rates in middle-aged people back towards the unvax rates. But not all the way. Yes, there are some promiscuity differences in how people act when vaxxed...
EDIT: I am reminded here of the video Lago posted with Prof. Clancy- the part on immune response suppression to CoV's getting stronger with repeated exposure by injection (rather than natural /gut)

- Booster effect has either worn off in the elderly (they got it Sept/Oct 2021!!!) - or - it simply never worked for these people in the first place.

My feeling is:- it has worn off.. which does not bode well for the young in a couple of months.
