Forgive my naivety here but does comparing the excess deaths for the 5 year average that includes pandemic years present a clear picture? Especially as the growth trend started last year.

What happens if you compared 2014-2019 without pandemic and vaccination? Are the numbers higher?

This is a good point, and it is why I use the years 2015-2019 inclusive (5yrs) for the thread on excess deaths.

It is still very useful to see how it compares to the official figure, which uses 2017,18,19,--21,22.

The official body (ONS) know that in three years' time, the vax-induced excess will be baked in to their average, so they are running the clock down.

EDIT to add - mostly the '15-'19 figures in the thread have shown up a bigger excess since the vaxxes, than when the official figures are used.. These last two weeks have been an exception, but it could have just been Easter / holiday effects working through..
