Yeah, risk perception ... inhibition disorder .... . Risky behaviour is a really common pre-clinical sign of dementia. Personally, an auntie of mine, who was afraid of heights all her life, waxed lyrical about her parasending experience on holiday in Turkey. How she thought she would be afraid but was not... A year later, she was diagnosed with Alzheimers. Rest her soul. A reply to himself: "In theory the brain damage is temporary" - errr....until you know the cause.. and the symptoms in the tweet wre entirely consistent with personality changes at the start of dementia, this is cope-ium, imo.
