PLACES TO FIND SUPPLIES THAT WILL B FORGOTTEN DURINSHTF-

pet stores. rabbits and birds. fish are small but if desparate u could find some snakes. also, much of the pet food can b edible. fish stores have huge filter systems for the aquariums.

hospitals- yes, the drugs will b raided. but while they are at that , the raiders might forget the stocked kitchen with walk in coolers. add this to your list for butcher knives and sharpeners.

the library- who would have time to read? but the books serve 2 purposes. 1. knowledge needed not only immediately but also to help teach the children who survive. fiction and romance novels can b burned.

small office buildings or non-food retail stores- break rooms may have vending machines, a small frig, and of course coffee. this applies to banks as well. with $$ no longer of value these should b left untouched.

schools- not only for the same reasons as library and the obvious cafeteria, but also the gym. ropes, ball bats, and helmets/ pads to protect u.

sporting events- race tracks, county fair grounds, amusement parks, stadiums. think of all the food that is non-perishable. why wouldn't they leave excess stock from 1 event to the next? also, many of these have a high spot to keep lookout from.

non-profit offices/ churches- similar to small offices. but many of these do have catering options such as a banquet hall. many non-profits are tied in with county disaster agencies so will have water bottles, blankets, 1st aid supplies,etc.

even museums can have supplies. think of all the old farm tools that could b handy.

while the ppl raid the grocery store, local pharmacy, and gun shops, many of these others options will remain untouched. if u are stranded far from home, these can serve as a hide out as well as source for some supplies.
