[ link to indianlekhak.com (secure)] People vaccinated against COVID-19 are as likely to spread the delta version of the virus as their household contacts who do not have shots, according to new research. Quoting: CoronaCoaster2 The Lancet article: [ link to els-jbs-prod-cdn.jbs.elsevierhealth.com (secure)] "SAR among household contacts exposed to fully vaccinated index cases was similar to household contacts exposed to unvaccinated index cases (25% [95% CI 15–35] for vaccinated vs 23% [15–31] for unvaccinated)."(NB they also give another figure [with a big uncertainty] which is more favourable towards vaccination, where they do not know if the exposure was due to the household index case. As such I beleive it is subject to more errors/ uncertainty/ bias, so I prefer the confirmed index-case data.)
