Going to the Halloween Parade. Mom making Carmel apples. Did the same things with my daughter. Now my Halloween is putting up some decorations and watching scary movies. |

Then over to Newton's house for the carmel apples. Then the other houses for whatever candy bars, smarties, etc.. It was the mid 70s, way before everything had to be pre-packaged. A set of glow in the dark teeth from Woolworths and a towel pinned around my neck for a cape. Good times. |

My sisters and I had exactly 3 masks: Donald Duck, Goofy, and Mickey Mouse. We switched off every year. Little plastic pumpkin buckets. We went to ever house in town (only 800 ppl) and didn't have to worry about razor blades in Snicker bars or freaks trying to kidnap us. |

In the UK, traditionally, the BIG one is Bonfire Night on 5th November. In the UK is was monumental. Halloween was regarded as some obscure American crap from across the Pond. For those who do not know about 5th November... |
