I think they started the trend of having Halloween parties years back because of all the crap found in apples, etc.

Then there's always the Covid germ thing.

Seems like people are reporting being overrun and others with zero.

Just a strange year all the way around.

I think about Halloweens past.

The Charley Brown special came out when I was about 5 years old, and I watched it every season.

Streets were full of kids back then. It was like a big, moving outdoor block party on every block.

My last Halloween trick or treat at 12 years old was a well planned fast strike operation. My friend and I had a route picked out through all the best candy neighborhoods and we ran through the night like a couple of bats out of hell, cutting across lawns and leaping over bushes and fences.

My next Halloween was memorable sad. At 13, my friend started attending teenage Halloween parties, but I was never welcome at social events. A kid I barely knew at school said he had no plans for trick or treating, so I agreed to join him in exploring the night. I called him before I left home, and he said to come on over. When I got to his house, it was dark and no one was home. The whole street was quiet and empty, and I was walking away confused when I was ambushed by armed and masked thugs. I fought them off and they ran off crying, but I couldn't think of what to do next.

Halloween had taken an altogether different turn. When I saw the guy in school the next day, I told him I was baffled not to find him at home. He looked scared and ran away from me. I didn't even mention the ambush to him.

It was raining last night when we had trick or treat. Not a lot of kids. I guess they were afraid of getting wet. That wouldn't have stopped me.

It was always a dumb fucking thing to do and only people who were absolute herded sheep ever thought it was a good idea

Its the kind of thing thats a relic of a bygone era but tbe sheep are still trying to go through the motions of it because it because it reinforces their faith in the dependency of the simulation

So far we only had one group of four kids. Last year there were many and ran out of candy, so it must be hit or miss type thing.

Yeah it is. We still tend to think the world is ok. Sending kids to a strangers house for candy is really strange when you think about it.

Covid Candy scare

It was crazy busy in upstate NY tonight. Lot's of kids and adults. People were very cheap with the candy though. No handfuls. Someone actually dropped 2 nickles in my kid's candy bag. wtf...can't even buy a good piece of candy with that.

I was literally shocked how quiet my neighborhood was all weekend, from Friday after school to late Halloween night... hardly any trick or treaters.

My neighborhood was pretty busy with kids and families trick or treating

Where I'm at there was a shitload out. Like waaay more than the last couple years.

I was in downtown Umatilla Florida today around 630p and I smiled at all the kids and parents out enjoying each other. It was a beautiful sight seeing people be people.

They are in Roblox Halloween instead
