Get ready for more shortages: Truck driver shortage is getting worse and there aren’t enough drivers to fix the problem

So there is plenty of goods and etc and all this is very much on purpose, that being said though the food shortages, energy shortages, and etc they have engineered are going to kill an unbelievable number of us over the next few years and it's all 100% deliberate.

They've been putting the necessary pieces in place for what they're doing to us now for over two decades.

Make no mistake about it, this is incredibly well planned and well orchestrated.

If we wait until the power starts going off and many Americans are already going hungry before we fight back...

WE WILL LOSE.

History shows that once a despotic regime successfully starts a famine any attempts at overthrow without MASSIVE EXTERNAL SUPPORT are doomed to fail. (in almost every successful case in the last century the US has been who provided that outside support too btw. Even if other countries WANTED TO they probably wouldn't be able to provide support on the level we'd need)

We are very quickly running out of time with which to turn this around people.

What's even more important though is that if we fight back before this plan of theirs goes into full effect, far LESS Americans will starve or die from what damage they've already done.

We can still turn this around if we get off our asses and put a stop to them before the spring harvests.

Have 4-5 trucks parked here at my apt off and on for a long time. No stuff to haul they say. Idle 50% of the time.

Have seen more broken down trucks on the highway than ever before...5 fold maybe!!!

Vaccine mandate deadlines are starting to arrive, and large numbers of very qualified people are losing their jobs as a result. Of course this comes at a very bad time, because we are already in the midst of the most epic worker shortage in U.S. history. Despite the biggest hiring push that I have ever seen in my entire lifetime, businesses all over America are still desperate for workers.

This is not true. Take California, they need approx 185K class A drivers for the supply chain. There are approx 425K drivers with current class A licenses living in California. The drivers are there they just don't want to drive for whatever reason. In all likely hood the pay is so low it doesn't make sense to drive.

Can confirm this! My business ships agricultural products. Trucks for short hauls are not too hard to come by, but long haul over the road trucks are getting REALLY tough to book. We've had loads sit on the floor for 2 weeks waiting for truck and it is getting worse. Not enough drivers.

Good. There are more semi trucks on the highway then there are vehicles. Our highways were not designed for transport of large commercial merchandise. All we need to do is go back to the rail system, with a hub for loading for local areas. Truckers need to stay off the highways. I do believe they cause more wrecks and accidents than personal vehicles. Plus the fact they are extremely dangerous on the road in rainy conditions. Maybe they should put a bill into the house the truckers can only drive at night from like 10 PM until 6 AM. I would support that. Who gives a shit about the shortage? It’s all planned and made up. Don’t fall for the shortage of truckers. If there were any more on the road personal vehicles wouldn’t fit.

The rate per mile for a load from Dallas to Los Angeles is anywhere from $1.22 to $1.63 per mile. Fuel in Dallas is about 3.79 a gallon while in California a gallon of diesel is about $4.79.
I guess the Sikhs and Mexicans are finally waking up. They were the main groups taking that freight to get back to Cali.

The blockage is only on the west coast. Not only are their extreme measure COVID regulation, their is smog emission, containers that need to be returned problem and the the issue of the future Problem that all USA truck must be electric in CA and Washington by 2024 and for the rest of the USA 2026.

And electric big rigs suck. The energy must be used and consumed in a precise way. You cannot speed to make up time fi you had to sit for a long time.

Also they do not perform as well inclimate weather. So, if it is too hot, the batteries burn up, and if it is too cold the batteries can't produce the power needed. These trucks are literally dangerous to the truck driver in these situation, where sometimes they have to sit for long periods of time. Plus they have lost their autonomy to drive how they prefer due to the way they energy must be consumed for optimal use of power. You just can't pull over get your gas and be back on the road again in 10-15 minutes. You might need to power up for up to two hours, with a limited number of power stations.

The other issues is containers are not getting back to other ports because their is no money in picking up and shipping back empty containers. Yet, these ships are required to take back so many empty containers before the leave port.

In port only corporations can afford to have their drivers sit and wait for loads. The taxes and wait time for getting loaded is so bad it could be days until an independent trucker gets to pick up a load. Thus they have decided it is not worth it. Notice their is no supply chain issue on the east coast or through the USA. There is a lot more air traffic though for other types of freight.

But mostly this is a protest of truckers about the electric big rigs and the ridiculous standards the US Truckers have to put up with in left leaning states. The cherry on the cake is the fact that Mexican and Canadian truck drivers do not have to put up with the same regulations in order to operate inside the USA.

There is not shortage of skilled labor period. It is all a ruse. I know people in SA, TX looking for jobs. Only hospitality is hiring for Christmas as usual.

Truck driver shortage? I haven’t seen anything remotely similar (oilfield). They are lined up at the docks, and the only reason they’re turning down work is because the docks ain’t unloading shit. So the drivers end up waiting for days.

That’s odd because my husband is very busy OTR. He has several friends that are now in the process of buying their own trucks. There’s a lot of work for drivers from my perspective.

IT'S BY DESIGN. They have all these trucker schools and they take everyone's money, give them almost no time to practice on the trucks and then push them out the door when they can't master the driving in a few days time. Take their money and tell them they can't take the driving test even if they passed the written portion. It's happening all over the country. Trucker recruiters know about it and are pissed about it too. These schools take in too many people to make a boatload of money and then don't take enough time to train each person properly. It's all to make money. They just turn around and fleece every crop of students,only graduating a handful but often offer no refunds for everyone that applied, they get no license, and on and on. On to the next crop of suckers. :(
