What the hell is wrong with people's driving lately!

When I was a kid learning how to drive, I was told to make tiny incremental steering changes so that the car was always in the middle of the lane as the road varied.

Do people even know this anymore?

Their cars veer outside the lines constantly. It's like they are drunk.

Also, I'm old and yet the young people in front of me at traffic lights react 3 times more slowly than I do. If 5 cars should have made it across, only 3 do.

Kids. That is the problem. Anyone under 21 is seeming to be the problem. Older people too, as they spent almost two years working at home, and get viscous with road rage because they forgot how to navigate traffic to and from work, nor do they allow themselves enough travel time and fly up the highways.

I’ve literally witnessed kids not using blinkers and switching lanes INTO cars on the highways.

There is zero Patience. People risking life just to stop at the next red light. Or my personal favorite when they risk all lives to get in front of you to turn into a damn Walmart or whatever. Really? That disgusts me

Lol those guys around here love to spew that black smoke everywhere to piss off the rich northeners who moved here because they f*cked up their state. Almost beat down a stupid guy with a Jersey tag, I tailgated him a way to let him know that in the south we are a little kinder to one another.

I have my shit tuned to convert diesel fuel to useful power to the road, instead of making black smoke...

People's brake pedals are disfunctional apparently. Unless it's skidding into a median or the car they are about to hit. Also the steering wheels are obviously misaligned.

It's usually an Id10T error, bad connection between the seat and the vehicle controls...

People in Cars that needed to be scrapped years ago, driving like twats with no MOT, or insurance, is endemic here in the UK.

They get pulled up by the Police. They give bogus details. Police take the Car.

They go out buy another rinse + repeat.

There are 1,000 000 uninsured Drivers on UK Roads.

I ride a motorcycle and have for 5 years, I'm used to actively saving my own life on a regular basis.

But yea, recently, it has become absolutely insane. In three days I've avoided five fatal accidents, two of which where people running their reds a good four seconds after the light turned. My habit of checking both ways regardless kept me from becoming a stain on the pavement.

Yesterday a prius driven by a blue haired dyke pulled out in front of me and the truck behind me. Swerved to the right, followed her and screamed at her for having her head up her ass.

Well people dont make best decisions. They drive around in trucks lifted so high you needs a ladder to get in them, then never take them offroad...its all for show

A wide road near me recently got an island divider in the middle.......there are bits of car parts all around that island on a weekly basis.....got so bad that they painted the island yellow and put poles with flashing lights to warn motorist.....still people manage to drive over the island......lol......

No, you haven't. My car has difficulty driving below 35mph and many of YOU drive 40mph in the fast lane when people have to work for a living.

It's YOU that is dangerous.

Most people don't want to waste 1/4th of their life behind you driving slow because you think driving your slow 20-year-old vehicle is safer.

I can basically drive any speed I want, almost totally and completely safe. So, why should I have to sit behind you driving 40mph in the fast lane?

Not surprising. They put up poles for Lane dividers here and they get mowed down weekly. Also entire concrete railings get clobbered weekly. Nuts

It's not the speeding in the passing lane but it's the switching 3 lanes at a time without looking that causes the issues.

This is normally because someone is driving really slow in the fast lane or as someone who actually drives has broken the first set of slow cars and is in the back of the next...

and the fastest lane of getting around a bunch of slow cars in traffic is go to the right line especially if you're in the back of a new set of slow cars.

Alot of people that speed, speed because they can.

Oxygen deprivation hasn't helped much, either.

The other issue is people who have minds of mush trying to operate a vehicle. Bad combination because the mush is rapidly increasing on the roads

Vaxxed drivers passing out and having other health emergencies. Traffic has gotten ridiculous the last couple years. This one drive I have to make twice per week used to take 25-30 minutes max and during rush hour, now it's 1 hour minimum, never get above 35 mph and it's a 45, it drives me crazy. When my parents first moved here in the late 80s they told me they made that same exact drive in 10 minutes, basically as fast as you wanted. And these are 3 lanes in one direction roads, back then they were single lanes. Many drivers on the road are idiots, most drives could be twice as fast if people paid attention and also did the speed limit. So tired of being stuck behind people doing 30 in a 45 and then bitch at you if you honk at them. I've seen countless accidents caused by people going way to slow and they just get to drive off because they are not involved, and it's all their fault. I think we should have a law that if you do less than 5 mph below the speed limit you can get pulled over. They do it on the highways in some places. I bet alot of people would stop fucking around then.

This is now the third time I've posted this theory, I think they are killing everyone off with covid and the vaxx to get traffic back to a reasonable pace. The rich and elite are tired of the long drives in the back seat to the airport. Most rich people don't live close to the airport and they have to drive through major city traffic to get there. I think they all got together one day and started shooting the shit and ended up bitching about how bad the traffic is. They then said fuck it kill everyone off, they will grow back eventually.

Yes, lots of mush drivers, but that doesn't necessarily equate to speeders.
