A bottle of dextroamphetamines is a good lesson from the Germans for requiring less food and squeezing more energy out of a soldier...

Is that what Dexitrim is? We used to take that back in the 80's.

I dried some vegetables back in 1987 with a commercial food dryer, and put them in canning jars. They've been sealed up, and still look the same as when they went in the jars.

No, that's phenylpropanolamine a decongestant and appetite suppressant, not an amphetamine...

Do you got money to buy preps?
3-12 months of what you eat. replace weekly when you use some
Canned meats chicken beef pork what ever you can get now.
Some bags of rice beans, I store them in the black 27 gal with yellow lid totes, it will hold 3 each 50Lbs bags or 150Lbs and you can stack them 5 high, they keep the mice out.
And
I would buy long term basic foods providentliving.org/food storage/orderforms
Basic foods, rice beans pasta grains and rolled oats ect.
You need a apx 500,000 calories per person per year.
It will weigh apx. 500Lbs and will cost apx. $500 or $1 per pound. We have one for every member of our house!

Then freeze dried, Very hard to get and expensive now!
We did a lot of Augaston farms entrees every kind, pails some of everything.
Careful buying from others compare servings servings size, calories per serving cost per servings and ingredients real meat or tvp, any kits count sugar or drink mix as a serving.

Get as many fatty things you can like butter ghee or powdered butter

Good luck if you are staring at 0
Another good source is the feed store for whole grains very cheep pennys per pound! 50-80 Lbs bags $15-20
Water is $1 per gallon or a 300 gallon tank is $300, we got 2000 gallons here. And it is not enough!
